Such phospholipids have been shown to increase absorption by nearly 12 fold compared to stand alone Astaxanthin. One needs phosphatidylcholine to protect nerve cell function, and astaxanthin protects the phosphatidylcholine from harmful oxidation.

Olive Oil – Astaxanthin is a fatsoluble carotenoid which requires fat to be absorbed. Olive oil has been included in each capsule as a healthy source of fat to bind to the Astaxanthin to help improve absorption.

Vitamin E – Our softgels include a small amount of natural Vitamin E which is used to prolong the life of the Astaxanthin. It acts as a sacrifice antioxidant and helps to stabilise the formula.
